Hangar 1819 Reviews

Great independent venue! Hangar 1819 is a solid venue that brings in a variety of talent. For one, they aren't owned by Live Nation, which seems to be a rarity now. The sound in this venue is great! Compared to a lot of venues in Charlotte, this is wonderful. They seem to take care of the venue by fixing any damages. The bathrooms were clean enough for a venue. The bar provides affordable beverage options. Due to that, I tend to actually order a few drinks since they're not price gauging. There's paid parking with security behind the venue. If you do not want to pay, you can try to find street parking nearby. When a show is sold out, the line to get in does move slowly. It can get tight in this venue quickly, so arrive earlier than later. My only complaint is that there are times when the ticket pricing will be different at the door than stated online. An example would be that it says $22 at the door, but when you show up, it's actually $29. I hope to see Hangar 1819 live on for years to come!

Great venue. Great sound and staff. Everyone was friendly. Water was $3.50. the bathrooms were clean. The only room for improvement in my opinion is that fans need to be installed because if you go to a death metal concert it gets ripe smelling very fast! I had to go sit by an open door just to have fresh air

I've been to so many shows here, when it was The Blind Tiger and when it has been Hangar 1819. It is such a great venue, but has gotten so much better with the change in ownership. It seemed towards the end of The Blind Tigers life span, it became less focused on having bands stop there on their tours and more focused on a 'club' type atmosphere? Either way, since the ownership changed it seems to have a lot more shows being held there, which is great for bands and the local music scene. The staff at the bar are nice, the security outside can be a little rough on you but I think that is not a bad thing, it shows they mean business. The sound is great in the venue as well, I have been to many venues where the sound is just pure noise where you cannot decipher any music. The parking can be a little hard here but I have not heard of anyone getting towed from parking around the venue.

Great venue for live music. Sound was good. The bar staff was friendly. If It is a fully sold out show it is absolutely packed in there.

This is a great venue for concerts. There were A LOT of people in attendance, but we did not feel crowded at all. There was plenty of room to move around without bumping anyone, which is really important to us as two people in our group struggle with social anxiety and Autism. As stated previously, the line was very long, but once doors opened, it took no time to get inside (even with only 2 staff doing security checks). The staff was incredible! Very friendly and helpful. The venue was remarkably clean as well. The sound quality was amazing, even standing at the very back. The only complaints that I have are regarding the parking situation and the seating situation. There was no parking at the venue, so we had to park on the side of the road about 1/4 of a mile up the road and walk back to the venue. That was a lot in and of itself as one member of our party has disabilities surrounding her back, hips, and knees. The seating situation is non-existent. There were no seats available in the venue, so we had to stand for the entire event. Overall, it was an absolutely awesome experience, and despite parking and seating issues, we will attend more concerts here! I would definitely recommend the venue to my friends and family!
