We had a great time, we went later in the day as the heat was pretty unbearable. But there were plenty of indoor exhibits with air conditioning. It was not too crowded and there were many food options. We also went to the demolition derby, it was a lot of fun and the grandstand seats were shaded. It was a great show and we will be back next year. Be sure to purchase your tickets ahead of time as it was sold out.

Great fair to take the family. I purchased my tickets for entry and parking online. From the main road it's a little difficult to find the entrance but pay attention, in between the 'this entrance closed" signs is an entrance for VIP parking. We arrived around 4:30-5:00 When you enter, the left takes you to general parking, the right goes to VIP parking. The area closest to the entrance is reserved parking so find a spot around the entrance of the parking lot. It is wheelchair accessible, however it is a dirt path. At the entrance of the fair, to the far right is the entrance for online tickets. If you've purchased online tickets, this is the way. From parking to fair entry, it was about five minutes. After entry, there is a long line of vendors and food trucks. Following the line of vendors leads to the marketplace and the rides. Going just to the right goes to the animal area. Camels, pony rides, petting zoo, and circus are all in this area. Some attractions require small cash fees like the pony rides, food to feed the animals at the petting zoo, and to see the tortoise and smallest horse attractions. Following the vendors and food trucks, the entrance to the rides is on the left, pay attention because it's overwhelming and if you walk too far you'll miss the entrance to the rides. The rides require tickets to ride. We got an unlimited ride bracelet. You have to purchase a receipt at a window and take the receipt to a table where they scan the receipt and scan a bracelet. Since we got there at the beginning of the evening the lines were just getting long. By 9pm, the place was packed. All of the food vendors had queues that were very long. The marketplace and exhibit gives you some relief from the heat. At the end of your visit, think about handing off that unlimited ride bracelet to someone standing in line to purchase ride tickets.

My girls had a blast! The vendors were friendly. The food was good. The games were fun. My oldest got to feed her favorite animal and it made her day! Can't wait for next year!

Great State Fair with a large variety of attractions. Large amounts of animals to see, as well as indoor vendors. Some of the animals have riding available. The carnival rides have much to choose from, but keep in mind there are height limits for kids. Throughout the grounds are concession stands filled with a variety of foods and beverages.
