Brewsky's Reviews

First and only time visiting, as I'm not local. Took a friend to see The Weeks play. Cool venue, large bar with good audio. It was too damn cold but they have an outdoor patio for smoking. Large clean bathrooms(male at least). Staff/security were cool and not aggressive for no reason. We ordered food but honestly can't remember anything good or bad about it. Bartenders were friendly and efficient when it got busy.

My recent encounter with a latino security guard named AJCR left a bitter taste in my mouth. Upon arriving at the venue, I found myself faced with a seemingly arbitrary rule: no sitting in cars before entering. This policy, enforced by AJCR, seemed not only nonsensical but also deeply disrespectful. AJCR's refusal to allow patrons to sit in their cars before entering the venue struck me as unnecessarily rigid. As someone who appreciates a moment of respite before diving into crowded spaces, this restriction felt particularly frustrating. The lack of consideration for individuals who may need a moment to gather themselves before joining the event is disappointing, to say the least. Even more disheartening was AJCR's insistence on enforcing this rule even after leaving the venue. Denying individuals the opportunity to take a breather in their own vehicles, even if just for a few minutes, reeks of a power trip. It's a basic human need to have a moment of peace and privacy, especially after being in a crowded environment. AJCR's refusal to acknowledge this demonstrates a lack of empathy and understanding. Legally speaking, such restrictions on personal space and autonomy seem dubious at best. While security measures are undoubtedly necessary, they should not come at the expense of basic human dignity. Denying individuals the right to sit in their own cars, regardless of the circumstances, is a violation of personal freedom. Moreover, the behavior of the big African-American guy in the front only added to the unpleasant atmosphere. Rudeness has no place in customer service, yet it seems to be a hallmark of this security team. Treating patrons with disrespect, whether through unnecessary rules or outright hostility, is simply unacceptable. In conclusion, my experience with security guard AJCR and his team left much to be desired. Their insistence on enforcing arbitrary rules and their lack of empathy towards patrons' needs reflect a concerning trend of power-tripping behavior. It's a shame that such individuals are entrusted with ensuring the safety and well-being of others when they seem more focused on exerting control.

Maybe if the bouncers and that puerto rican security guard were 2% nicer to women it wouldn’t be such a sausage party in there all the time !

I’ve been to this place a couple of times but this Saturday was horrible. Collin stough was playing and me and my friends were enjoying the concert. Me and my girlfriend were asked to leave, so we were willing walking out the bar and didn’t touch anyone or argue, as we were walking out I got to the door and a bouncer hit me and 2 more grabbed me and slammed me on the ground outside for no reason I was so confused. So I started defending myself and the other bouncers got in my friends face and used mace on them. The girls that were with us got hit by guys and one of them had to be hospitalized. A bouncers job is to kick people out of the bar who are causing a problem. Not to blind side someone when he is walking out the door with no explanation and assault everyone with excessive force. I would totally under stand if I was running my mouth but I didn’t not say a word to anyone on the way out, nor did I touch anyone. So unprofessional and I honestly just want answers to why someone would ever do that. You have to have something seriously wrong with you to do that to innocent people.
