The Pavilion at Ravinia Reviews

What a terrific experience Have been going here since 1966. The staff is terrific including Gavin in the parking lot, Matt and Blake at tickets sales, Chris at the museum, Bernadette in the gift shop, and Morgan at the gala info booth. Always so great and helpful.

An amazing place to watch a great show. You can either sit in the stands or have a picnic style show. The security and personal of the Ravinia are very nice and very professional. You can rent tables and chairs or bring your own. Also you can dine and enjoy the bar or bring your own food and all types of beverages. Parking is the west area is $25 cash. I am handicap and parking was all the way to the entrance.

Sept. 10, 2022 was my first time visiting The Pavilion at Ravinia. We went to see the Stevie Nicks concert and she was amazing! The most important thing you should know is that you cannot see whoever is on stage (very well) unless you buy the seats. We bought lawn tickets so I was disappointed that I couldn't really see Stevie Nicks. I was able to get a few snapshots inbetween people and security guards but it was very difficult (unless you are standing right by the railing which I was not). Most people go for the experience of spending an evening out with friends, eating, drinking, and spending the night LISTENING to live music - not necessarily WATCHING the performers. If you want to watch - spend the extra money for seats. If you want to pull a wagon loaded with charcuterie boards, sandwiches, candles, and wine then you will want to purchase lawn tickets and should go when the gates open to claim your spot. The entire grassy park was completely filled with people - all enjoying the beautiful weather under a full moon (we lucked out with the weather). It was a gorgeous night! Take your wagon to haul your cooler, food, and fold-up chairs. Just decide before you purchase tickets which is more important - seeing the performers on the stage or eating & drinking on the lawn. The stage is down low so the people seated on the lawn cannot see due to the layout of the land. It is too bad that the lawn area doesn't slope downward so all people can see. Either way, you will have an enjoyable evening! I only gave this 4 stars due to not being able to see very well.

Ravinia is such a beautiful place to see a concert. Gorgeous outdoor venue with lighted mature trees. Delicious food to purchase or bring your own. It's always fun to wander the grounds and take in the sights of all the elaborate tables set up.

Positively the most unique venue I have had the pleasure to visit and can't be ait to go again. We enjoyed the lawn and gardens, as well as the museum before the performance, very worth arriving early for. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant and the service was nicely paced, we did not feel rushed at all. Seats in the pavilion were well spaced, didn't feel crowded and view and sound was wonderful. I don't think I'd want to do the lawn seats, just not my thing, but the fact that it exists and runs the way it does is fascinating to me. So unique!
