Went to a Wine Cave Tour And Candlelit Tasting. It was a small group, so it made the experience unique and very private. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. We liked the wines, the ambiance and the staff. The patio there is also very cute. Kid and pet friendly. Highly recommend to anyone!

First and last visit. Will not recommend. The grounds of the winery were scenic; however, the experience was tarnished by the female co-owner (Sharitee?) - she was so rude to our party of four (4) as we were celebrating my birthday. We were enjoying a patio area with an umbrella to block the sun when she approached our table to point out that we were seated in a "reserved event" area. (We were not aware of this as the entrance to this space was open and seating was available.) We offered to move but then she retracted by asking us if we needed anything. What? Why? Why did she have the need to say anything to us? It was as though she was trying to make us feel bad - there was hardly anyone at the venue and we were paying customers! Next time, we'll go where we are appreciated.

We went for the private candle lit tasting for my birthday and learned so much. The owner is so knowledgeable and kind. The wine was amazing and the property is gorgeous. I will definitely be back to enjoy wine on the patio!

I went on a small tour of different wineries in Missouri recently, and Fence Stiles stood at the top of the list. Not only are their wines fantastic, but their cave wine tour is one of the best educational experiences I’ve had on a tour in a while. From the very start of the conversation (which it was, rather than “lecture”), it was clear how much thought and intentionality was given to each aspect of how and why they make wines the way they do. Definitely worth the money and time, and I look forward to my next visit back!

A girlfriend and I brought our 7 year old daughters along with us for a wine tasting during a girls trip. The owner was very accommodating with the kids (they tasted juice, cheese, and play games). The moms tasted wine, learned about different varietals, the winemaking process and property. We had a lovely time!
