Amazing spot for dates and taking family out to eat. My friend Evie is an event coordinator here and did a perfect job on the reservation. Great wedding dinner venue or business meeting venue. If you are wanting to do an event definitely talk to Evie about your experience. Other than that the food was unmatched. Great service and amazing views.

Amazing atmosphere, amazing food, amazing service! We had a private outdoor rooftop area for our group of 20. Greg was a top notch server who was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks and ready to make a recommendation. The ambiance was classy and comfortable, and had a nod to the African theme. The food was delicious! I had the Durban Curry, which was so tasty. It came with sides to add heat or cool it down and even add an extra sweetness with the banana slices which paired perfectly with the flavors! My husband had the surf and turf which a steak and beautiful lobster, he had no complaints. Even the hummus and pita had a unique flare and was a great appetizer! Great place to take a group or go as a couple, especially for an anniversary; they even have a bar to enjoy solo. Friday night they had a live musician who was excellent! Many from our group danced and he sang and played his own rendition of favorites! A very fun and classy evening!

Mozambique in Laguna Beach provides a truly delightful dining experience that goes beyond just good food. What really set our visit apart was the service provided by our server, Greg. His attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and professional service were outstanding and truly deserving of a five-star rating. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal in a beautiful setting.

The food was just about okay. It didn't suit my taste much. We were on the 3rd floor in the open and I must say that the atmosphere was very good. They have made elaborate arrangements to avoid direct sunlight using parasols and it gave a nice look and one is always tempted to be seared in such a love atmosphere. The seat we got gave a wonderful view of hills and the seaside all at the same time. They have a few nice parrots also near their entrance.

Wonderful view from the roof and excellent food too! What else could a girl want lol I recommend having a reservation to ensure that you get the experiences you want. The roof has a view of the beach that's to die for. There was live music on the second floor and the bird aviary with some amazing African birds was on the ground floor. Our server was prompt, provided excellent service and made sure we all laughed and had a good time! Also, I have a disability and the staff made sure to accommodate me to the best of their abilities. I love an establishment that takes the time to make guests feel comfortable. The oysters? Amazing. The halibut? Devine. Peri Peri scampi? Too good to be true. 10/10 would recommend.
