Golden Nugget Lake Charles Hotel & Casino Concerts 2025

This is a great hotel and casino! The whole hotel is clean and very well maintained. The rooms are spacious, clean, and have great views of either pool, golf course, or both. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The casino is large with both tables, slots, and poker. The pool area is very nice and relaxing that includes swim-up bar, lazy river, and 21+ area with jacuzzi. The restaurants on property are all very good. Highly recommend for great rooms, food, and entertainment.

Stayed here in April. It was a customer appreciation trip with all the rooms 100% paid for. They wrongfully charged my credit card I left for incidentals over $400. I was told it was a mistake and to speak with the group sales director. Left her a voicemail. No response in a week. Called back and spoke to another lady who apologized and said she would refund the charge. Another week went by and no refund. Now three weeks later I just spent over an hour on hold to finally get it refunded. Very unprofessional and actually borderline shady. Also the bartender at the main casino bar was terrible. He couldn't remember simple orders, had an attitude the entire time and was incredibly slow.

The property is well maintained. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfy. Love the location. I like to sit at the little beach with my kids. We also enjoy the pool area. It has a lazy river and slides. I had a minor mishap with a room service employee, however the matter was taken seriously when reported to management. I would stay again.

We stay here often. We love the rooms, the casino and the restaurants. The most recent time we stayed while moving from New Orleans to Beaumont, TX was a super great experience. We reserved and paid extra for a spa tower king room. When we arrived we were told we had been upgraded to a loft room but it wouldn’t be ready for 20 minutes. We were very excited about the upgrade and waited the 20-30 minutes. When we went to check in they had removed the upgrade and put us back in the spa room. We were very disappointed and they didn’t provide an explanation. She only said oh we found you a different room. We have enjoyed other types of upgrades before but have never stayed in a loft. Would be willing to visit again though. They need to improve their customer service.

We came for Mother’s Day weekend with 3 more families from Houston Texas to celebrate our mothers at Golden nuggets lake Charles in Louisiana . I have been coming to this place for years and never realized how unethical and unprofessional some staff and the management was until today. So we got to the pool with my wife and daughter and upon checking our IDs the girl in front desk said she needed to call her manager to check our identity. First of all this is bizarre since we give room number and ID for the match then over the phone right in front of me and my family she (Dani- the girl with tattoo all over her face and body) referred to me as “some guy with a weird name wants to get in pool”. I asked for her manager immediately. After 20 minutes Jamie, her manager came and listened to my explanation. She said she would talk to her and would get back to me with addressing my racist, disrespectful and disgusting incident. We never heard from them. I checked back and management ignored us. We have given this hotel several thousands of business but today was the last day. I sincerely believe hotels with these systems that have no respect for guests should not be visited. They have great rooms and restaurants and I am sure there is several great and ethical staff working here as we have experienced that over and over but with the management that has fundamental and essential ethical belief in their customer system this hotel would soon be recognized to other people. My 7 year old daughter asked me later “why she thought your name was weird ? So many people have your name around us!” I couldn’t find an answer right away for that since we live in a city with 145 other nationalities and my family believes in all people to be the same and all names, races and cultures are beautiful and unique not weird !! Just inform and sorry for a long write up
