SAHARA Las Vegas Reviews

Arrived on a late flight and was confronted with a huge queue at check in - this wasn't ideal. The room was nice, a good size and the gym which I used once, did the job. Staff are generally courteous and friendly, but the location is a little far from the central amenities. There are two pools on offer - too shallow and short for serious swimming, more for relaxing with a drink. Overall, a nice enough hotel - shame about the hefty resort fee, which I believe should really be included in the total price.

We recently visited Sahara. I was expecting an older hotel since its long history is a staple in this town. The remodel is gorgeous. I was impressed by the new layout and it had great restaurants. We didn’t stay at the hotel, but came to check it out and had drinks at the bar. We played a little in the casino too. I would come back and stay here in the future. I do recommend folks stay here.

Spacious clean rooms. The water could've been a little hotter. I did love the dim light in the bathroom for middle of the night toilet use without getting blinded. The monorail is very close for easy access to the main part of the strip. The free parking was definitely a bonus.

We were down for a music festival and this hotel was right across the street - convenience was great! Our room was pretty good although - a sliding door for the bathroom...really?!?! Also, we lost power one night for a few hours and it got very warm in the room very quickly. The elevators can get pretty jammed up in the evenings but we weren't in a rush to go anywhere. The facilities in the hotel are good - including one of the best run Starbuck's I've ever come across!

This is a beautiful hotel and very clean. They have an adult and family pool, and several restaurants. They offer a free crib if you have a child. It's also connected to the Las Vegas Monorail which makes it much easier to get to the center of the strip. My main criticism is that the front staff at the check in desk doesn't explain anything to you when you check in and you don't really sense any warm or welcoming smiles from them. They are very fast and efficient but very dry. I had to ask them questions several times. Why don't they explain the benefits of staying at the hotel when the customer checks in? They never told me that we get discounts on the monorail for staying at the hotel or any of the other benefits, never mentioned anything about the pools and where they are located, never explained that there is a $1.99 daily charge for housekeeping (which I was shocked about as this used to be included, I guess times have changed or maybe Vegas is just different), etc. They should be forthcoming with this information with warm and welcoming smiles. Other than that, the check-in and check-out process is extremely fast. You can just text them for express checkout. The monorail elevator that leads from the Sahara to the monorail platform is shaky though so that should be looked at. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and will go there again in the future.
