Whirling Tiger Reviews

What a cozy bar/venue. Went to check out SAME AS IT EVER WAS Talking Heads tribute band on New Year's Eve and thought they put on an incredible show. Didn't purchase any drinks as I had attended the show alone and wanted to ensure that I had a safe trip home but all of the staff from the bouncer to the bartender were very kind and easy to talk to. I saw everyone from all walks of life here and felt very welcomed. Also the dancefloor was a hit and they played good music. Nonetheless I had a great time and would be open to visit again and trying out their drinks next time around.

Seems like a cool place. Lots of lounge spots available, pinball machines in the back, and friendly staff. Saw a fun show here for a reasonable price. Similar to Zanzabar, but with fewer gaming options and no food. The emergency exits could be marked better. I was uncomfortable watching a concert because I thought I was in a deathtrap, but there was an obscured exit.

It’s always a different animal that I wanna be when I go to dream but when I’m awake, and I want all the different things in life to happen to me, I go to the WT . Recently, I enjoyed a soda with a lime sitting on a heart, next to the fireplace, but Once upon a time I sang up on the stage and once at the piano. I danced with my girlfriend on the night that we split up and kicked a friend in the shin when my dance turned to spin is there a better place to spend your Monday night? Sure there is there are plenty of options, but what are you gonna do on Saturday night? I say do the whirling tiger, and do it your way

Lovely staff and a great venue for live music. Our group saw End Of The Line (Allman Brothers cover band) there and hope they return. A lot of TLC was put into the Decor. Please keep selling Coors Banquets and $6 OGD's. The Ghost of Butchertown Pub smiles down upon you. Consider a delicious "Butcher Block" reboot (it was something like a 16oz Rattlesnake w/shaved chocolate on the whipped cream top).

Look, I've been here a couple of times for shows, and I want to see the potential turn into success for local music, but don't double book a cover band concert and try to run a dance club in the front room of the bar. Someone should have called the fire marshal because it was uncomfortable and overcrowded for the Valentine's Prom over that holiday weekend. The only clear path was through the back hallway. What seemed like a fun solo outing to dance and mingle turned into an overpacked nightmare that was just an excuse to get heads to pay for drinks at the counter, if you could even manage to get there. It made me come to the realization that it's impossible to go single and solo clubbing, if you can't even mingle with the opposite sex or even bust a move and have space to dance. There was no line presence and it was a free-for-all trying to get to the front, where the service time was seemed long enough to sober in between rounds. I felt bad for the stressed out bartenders because this was management's fault for coordinating an event that would have been more fun in the concert room than the Allman Brothers cover band show. Also if you're going to close the show room and have a dance party in the front, you should limit your capacity at the door. Otherwise it's not a dance party. It even took 45 minutes to just close my check. Please do better in the future, and I may consider going back. It's also 2024; Mag Bar has admission fees to a science. If you don't have cash for the show, you can put it on your tab at the bar, not get charged ridiculous ATM fees, which is also another added inconvenience. I wish you all the best but again: Do better.
