Saw Tanya Tucker at this theater. We had PIT seats and couldn't have been any closer unless we were on the stage. I love that there are volunteers that go to the concession stand for you so that you don't miss a minute of the show! Drinks are $5-7. Venue is great for small shows. Clean theater and friendly staff. Parking is convenient and free.

Had a large party @ 3 Dog Night Concert tonight and had a WONDEFUL time! Seats are ridiculously small. If not for the people and the great music group this evening would have been miserable! Still: I, nor anyone of our party will ever return due to the seating being so awful. I understand the idea of keeping the theater as original as possible... but this is not the way to do it. The walls are just paint and stickers! Not original molding (laughing).. so why the stupid kindergarten seats as an original fixture? If you are going to skimp... seating is not the way to do it. Replace those seats and you WILL have a winner for sure. I would go to several shows every single month guaranteed if that were fixed. Everyone was talking about discomfort the entire time, and was distracting. Like I said; a great show is only a distraction from the pain caused by this seating for only so long. Jamming 700 people into a space that fits 500 might be a way to sell more tickets.. today. Not if we only come once because of it! This is what has happened with all of us tonight. EVERYTHING was perfect, except the seating. But that is such an important fixture for total enjoyment. You are on top of the people beside you (hopefully not a stranger) the entire visit. Would have easily been 5 stars but because I can't enjoy more than 30 minutes here.. THREE is all I can actually give.

Wow! What a treat! Who would ever have guessed that the sleepy little river town of Marietta leads a secret life as a mecca for performing arts - with outstanding venues like the Peoples Theater? I admit it: I'm blown away. Apparently the literati of the theater world are tuned in to Marietta. They really should get the story out to places like Pittsburgh and Columbus. Under the radar. Had a great time this year and will have you on our list from now on!

Absolutely amazing venue in a town that is truly a living history lesson. Easy access, great seats, polite staff. I'd recommend this venue for any performance. The seats in the mezzanine are a bit smaller than the ground floor. Expect to feel a bit crammed in upstairs. My only complaint is that the venue allows people to stand in front of the stage. This is rude and inconsiderate to folks in the front rows, Those Locations become somewhat obstructed by standing folks at the edged of the stage. I don't understand why they allow this, but you should be aware of this when purchasing tickets.
