Petersen Park Concerts

The little one's got to run around and enjoy the day. I was happy to notice that the park was very clean. They should of spread the picnic tables out instead of leaving them all under the shelters.But either way, a nice clean park to get some fresh air...

Year 2 for us a Bands, Brews and BBQs. Better bands this year but still an unworkable dance floor. They set up the barriers/fencing too close to the concrete pad for dancing. This results in people standing on the pad, crowding the dancers. If that's why you are there, it makes for a less pleasant experience.

Perfect place for an event! Love coming here for all the local events that take place in town.

It's a nice little lake front park that has ample room for parking and a wonderful view.

Beautiful spot to watch the sunset. No lifeguards at the beach. Kids should definitely wear a life jacket in the water. Good place for kids to play in the sand and water or run around in the fields. I taught my kid how to fly a kite in this park too. It’s a large grassy area with few trees/power lines, so it was a perfect spot. This is also where McHenry holds concerts, weekend festivals, and the carnival. Really nice spot to sit and watch the water too. I enjoy coming here to decompress.
