My experience at the Orpheum was amazing. It felt like I had stepped into such a beautiful atmosphere. The decor and ambiance are breathtaking. My wife and I had great seats for the show, and we felt like we could just melt into the experience. Overall, I would recommend seeing any show here that you find interesting.

Incredible details in almost all parts of the theatre. Take your time to look around. The seats are comfortable. The seating is set up well, so all seats are decent for viewing a show. The acoustics were great and didn't blow my ears out. Simple entry: They had a metal detector and a guard look through my purse. The women's bathroom had a good number of toilets, which was much appreciated.

Have been to well over a dozen shows here over the past few years. I love the variety of shows they have each year, especially the Broadway ones, though I've seen Shen Yun and ballet performances here as well. The venue is absolutely stunning inside, and it always feels like that elevates the experience. There are lots of great dining options nearby in downtown Minneapolis, and decent parking options--the surface lots have become more expensive lately, but the ramps slightly farther away are still a decent deal. Generally security is easy, though at one of the recent shows I attended, the line was really backed up and the show started late. No matter, though! There are only a few things that keep me from giving the Orpheum five stars. One is definitely leg room! Except in the best seats, if you are on the taller side, you can expect to have your legs a bit squashed during the show. Tickets seem to have gotten pricier in recent years--even for the most squashed/minimal leg room balcony seats. I used to be able to get tickets for under $60, but it's much harder now. Their switch to using ticketmaster might be partly to blame--I much preferred the old system. I've also noticed that you need to book much more in advance than you used to, so I wonder if longer runs for some popular shows would help with that issue. The other problem can be long lines for the women's restrooms. If they ever renovate, they should definitely find a way to fit in more stalls. A tip for women theatre goers though: often there's a shorter line for the second floor bathrooms (where there are more stalls as well) than the first floor one!

This Beautiful, ornate theater made me feel like I had stepped back into time. The play was high quality with creative costumes and amazing talent. I literally don’t think there’s a bad seat to be had.
While I have been to this theater before it was a long time ago. This time I went to see The Lion King Musical, which was a beautiful unique experience with wonderful music. The Orpheum Theatre is very beautiful inside but could seriously use a renovation. When they tell you on the site that there is little leg room in the upper balcony seats they aren’t lying. If you have back or knee issues the seating here will be very uncomfortable. You are basically sitting on the lap of the next person so paying attention to their guide on the site is more important. The sound and iconic chandelier will make any show look and feel more magical. If you have never been to a show or just want a nice date show I would say it is worth going at least once.
