The World's Only Corn Palace Reviews

Such a fun thing to see! To be honest, we had no idea what a corn palace was, but it was definitely worth the visit. The corn murals were really neat! And the building itself was cool, too. For those that don't know, a corn palace is a building decorated in murals made of corn, and this one happens to have an arena inside it as well that seems to stay pretty busy, so you shoukd check for events going on. The outside is cool, but you can also go inside where there's a display that tells the entire history of the corn palace that was very interesting. There are bathrooms that are very nice. There's also an old Farmall tractor you can sit on, as well as some photo ops. Worth a visit! And don't forget the 6ft tall corn guy and gift shop across the street.

I have been lucky enough to visit the Corn Palace a few times with my parents in 2017 and 2023. Each time I am amazed at the intricacies of the design; it truly is a feat of wonder. The art work each year to show the vision of the palace is astonishing. Although it might seem a little out there, this is definitely a must see while in South Dakota. You will not regret learning about the importance of this crop to the state and the life the palace and fairs have brought to Mitchell over the years!

The Corn Palace is so neat. Be sure and grab a bag or two of their caramel corn. I really enjoyed walking around the entire building. The downtown area is very walkable, safe, and has lots of neat shops too.

Interesting tourist attraction. Corn murals get replaced every year. 275,000 ears of corn cut in half and nailed to the walls. They have many murals. It was free to enter and walk around. Gift shop across the street. All of it is dog friendly! Bring your pups!

An honest review..... It's a bit corny. ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‘ The outside of the building being covered in art made of corn... Cool. The little cafe thing inside selling cheap gas station food... Meh. The gift shop that's on a basketball court filled with things that have nothing to do with corn art... No thank you. The nothingness that fills the rest of the building... Where is the art? So much waisted potential!!!! I travel a lot. I see tons of things from my spaceship. When I heard about a palace of corn art I was excited. Maybe to excited. Cause it's just a building with corn art outside and nothing of interest inside. It lost me. And I'm Gutter Junk the Clown! It's hard to disappoint me. Heck I think the most exciting thing is that across the street is a building that looks like a mid-evil torture castle with a sign that says "bible walk through tour" and " children's jungle Jim" or something like that. I laughed for 37 and a half minutes at that building. And I regret not going to that biblical torture castle. Anyways. If you go to the Corn Palace or the child friendly biblical torture tour place tell em' Gutter sent ya. They won't know who I am but they may look at you like your crazy. And that's something you can remember for the rest of your life!
