Mardi Gras World Reviews

It’s okay. Interesting to learn some history of the parade “business” and see some of the floats/props in person but feels a bit over-priced considering you’re just touring a working warehouse and not something created or curated for the tour. Just a for-profit business making some additional revenue. The tour guide was good but nothing specialized like a historian guiding a tour. The transportation on their shuttle is also okay but we waited almost 30 minutes after calling. Feels more like a $10 tour considering we probably had 40-50 people in our group.

This was an incredible tour and a must visit. The amount of history, information and just being immersed in all of these floats and designs that's date back to the 30's! It's incredible. Our tour guide was amazing. They even give you King cake!! Yummy! You have to visit! It's not expensive but the parking is. It's one price, $23, regardless of how long you were there so be aware.

So much fun and so many props to see! The tour was interesting and informative! The short video at the beginning was not boring at all. Also, you get a delicious piece of King cake at the beginning of the tour!

What an amazing experience! We have a much better appreciation of the work. It takes to get these floats to bring so much joy in the Mardi Gras parades. We did not realize all the other areas that this studio reaches. How they contribute to many theme parks and even the Academy Awards. The tour guide was fun and very informative. All the colors and props were a treat for the eyes. They even gave us samples of king cake. Great photo opportunities and great memories made. A great way to round out the New Orleans experience we definitely recommend. Especially That they have a shuttle that picks you up from most locations near the French Quarter. We are coming back!

It was cool to learn about the different traditions surrounding Mardi Gras floats. Highlight of the experience was being able to wander around on our own and talk with the artisans about their craft. One in particular shared his journey from museum curator to crafting pieces for floats. He was spectacular and we appreciated his generosity of time and talent. Be sure to head out back for a great view and a little downtime
