The Sazerac House Reviews

What a cool museum and tour. The experience is very tech focused and interactive but accessible to all ages and capacities. The self-guided tour is free, and it's a nice little history lesson about New Orleans and Sazerac and other spirits. I especially enjoyed the education on bitters. It's also a beautiful and inviting building. There are optional cocktail tastings throughout.

If you have an hour or two to spend I really recommend taking a tour of the Sazerac House. I wasn’t sure how this self guided tour would go but it was a great way to spend some time at. It is a free tour and you also get samples while you visit. Out of a lot of places I visited in New Oreleans this place had the cleanest bathrooms and the bathrooms are gorgeous! The staff is super friendly and they have a great gift selection. Definitely recommend checking the Sazerac House out!

I was pleasantly surprised by this museum! I highly recommend you stop here. We bought our tickets the night before online. The website is super easy to use and had all the available time slots. We just did the self paced tour which was perfect. 👍🏻 we got three different tasting of different cocktails, along with the recipes. They have other cocktail recipes available in the gift shop for free! Also they have 20% off of the gift shop for Military!

Was overall a cool experience as the tour was self-guided and free. Drink samples were also offered as part of the tour for free: three cocktails with different bases. The was also a small distillery at the ground floor which was neat to see, column still in the back. There were bottles of Eagle Rare 10 for sale that day for $30 a bottle with a one bottle per person limit every 90 days. I believe they switch the offering up regularly!

My partner and I had such a wonderful experience walking around this museum! Everything was so interesting, professional, easy to understand, and read and absorb. The staff was especially incredible, especially Sally! She was so welcoming and helpful, encouraging and kind. Neither of us are big drinkers, but you don’t need to be in order to enjoy the ambience, history, and tour. Although it was pretty fantastic to get four different liquor/cocktail samples along the way! My favorite parts were the interactive virtual bartenders and smelling all the herbs, spices, and botanicals that form the different bitters!
