Marquee New York Reviews

Nice venue to listen to some of your favorite artists when they play in the city. The sound system can be a bit loud in the crowd so bring some ear plugs if you value your hearing. Bathroom lines can be a bit long but the one upstairs is slightly better.

Had a great experience here on a night out in regards to music and the great effects including lighting. The DJ was absolutely amazing! The only thing I didn’t enjoy was how massive the crowd inside was, which is understandable for a weekend at an NYC club. Felt very overcrowded. Also cost me $70 for 2 drinks which wasn’t ideal. Other than that, would definitely enjoy another night out here!

This club is a decent scene that includes the top charting pop/edm hits that you’d want to hear in a traditional club. My complaint about the club personally is that I found the security guards and staff to be treating me in a racist manner. I was with my friend who had VIP seating, and yet as I was dancing the staff asked me at least 5 times to preform their duties (retrieving empty glasses and vases for them, opening the storage areas for them, etc.) I don’t mind helping people out as they are working, but I’m not sure if the staff thought I was a worker at the club. I found it odd because I’ve been to plenty of places while not being in VIP and was never expected to preform these tasks. I ignore these micro aggressions as I did not want to ruin the vibe. My friends and I decide to go onto the non VIP dancefloor, and as I’m dancing I feel someone’s hand inside of my jacket pocket. I turn around and the person says that they are security and they are “investigating something.” I told him that he did not have to check my pockets AFTER security already checked me in initially. I tried to politely mention the incident to another security person, and somehow the manager shows up to say that his hand, “Accidentally got caught inside of my jacket.” It was confirmed to me that this club was a lost cause when the security manager said, “Go ahead and say that this club is racist like they always do.” I am a black person and the security manager was black as well.

I’m visiting from Cleveland so I clearly don’t know the “rules for entry” in NYC. I Was told no shorts as a gay man at a major edm club… by bouncer who wouldn’t even explain why.. as almost every woman with their poochie hanging out were being skipped into the club. I work in the industry I understand the male gaze pays but so do the gays. disgusting representation of the community. And even more disgusting to be discriminated against either my orientation or sex. Clearly the marquee in Vegas knows their clientele better. Will definitely recommend to not come to this establishment as a visitor of NYC.

If you go there to dance, you’re making a mistake. They cram so many people in that you can’t even move side to side. There are countless venues in New York that are free where you can have so much fun. Don’t ever pay to get in there… you’ll regret it.
