This is one of the best museums I have ever been to. There are a number of tours you can go on; I did the tower and the engine room. The volunteers who conduct the tours and are scattered around the ship are exceptionally knowledgeable and super friendly. To get the most out of this museum, you should engage with them as they greatly enhance the experience. Tours cost $10 per area and last at least an hour. If you don’t want to pay for a tour, there are still lots of volunteers around the ship who you can talk to, and they will explain a lot of interesting information.

Great museum for WW2 and military geeks. 20$ per adult but you need to pay more if you want to go up the captain's deck. There are planes, choppers, jets and even the Apollo 11 shuttle over here. Workers are very nice too. Please come here to support this museum so they can keep it running

My experience here was incredibly interesting and detailed. We browsed ourselves for some time before a volunteer began to tell us some of the most interesting stories of the ship. I came to see the history of it, being a large part of Apollo 10 and Apollo 11. The guide took us under his wing and began giving us a private tour into some of the other areas of the ship not normally open without a tour. I don't imagine this is to be expected, as it seemed a very slow day for them. I'm sure it also helped that we were military/responders. I highly suggest getting a tour as the decoding areas and heart of operations were well preserved and very interesting.

What a beautiful museum. Spent the day with family and the amount of history on this ship is incredible. Would definitely come back and recommend. It’s fun to watch YouTube videos and get some background (it’s a HUGE ship) and then see the place in person. 10/10 price was a steal! Great photos! You can clearly see SF from the top!

Spent overnight on the ship with our scout pack. It was an amazing experience and a really cool look into such a historic ship. Lou Somontes was our guide/docent and you could tell he truly loved teaching people about the ship and history. His experience in the navy, on this and other ships made for a tour that felt like a VIP tour. Highly recommend.
