Academy of Music Concerts

Took my daughter to see Frozen here. What a great show! The singing and visual effects were amazing. The building here adds to the great atmosphere and the staff were excellent. We found parking across the street at the DoubleTree Hotel parking garage. If you show your ticket stub when you go to exit the parking garage they will knock off a few bucks. I highly recommend taking in a show at this venue, we enjoyed it

Unforgettable experience, beautifully baroque theatre that preserves history. Acoustics are magnificent for operatic performances. Been here many times, and fall in love all over again with each visit. The Academy should be on everyone's bucket list, and Opera Philadelphia puts on an amazing show!

Tonight I joined my friend to the show, Frozen. My daughter and I loved it. It was an amazing initial experience for both of us. Aside from the wonderful performance, the venue itself was very nice and elegant. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I’m surprised how many guest the auditorium holds and how many different levels of balcony seats are there.

The Academy of Music is a fantastic venue for any musical performance. A 2 minute walk of 15/16th & Locust makes the Academy a highly accessible location. The beautiful chandelier hanging from the beautiful center dome establishes an elegant atmosphere. Furthermore, the artwork on the ceilings resembles that of a cathedral. The sound quality created by the internal structure of the building brings an excellent experience to every seat. I must say, Frozen was a disappointing musical, yet this is nothing to hold against the Academy itself. Even in the amphitheater, I had a breathtaking view of the entire stage. Such a great experience warrants nothing less than 5 stars.

The Nutcracker was amazing! We sat in the Orchestra section J, and the view was phenomenal. Treat yourself to a beautiful setting in a formal atmosphere. Too many people miss the opportunity to enjoy the luxurious setting and environment by dumbing down the experience in how they dress and talk through the event. I would go back for the same show, but I look forward to new shows!
