Every seat (even in the rear balcony!) has a FABULOUS view because the balcony has a steep incline. Parking can be tough because this is such a cool town FULL of restaurants and artsy shops. The worst thing is the seats are so close to the row in front of me that someone just leaning back crushed my knees. And I’m only 5’7.

Aaaaahhhhh The Blob! I have been waiting to come to the Colonial for a while. I readily admit my membership in the Nerd Club. But, this place is sooooooo much more! The combination of history and the modernized addition is perfect. Customer service is beyond amazing. This is a MUST see if you are in Pheonixville! Can't wait to come back.

This theater is a local treasure. The ever changing lineup of films and events is diverse and interesting. They cater to the hard core genre buffs as well as casual fans of all sort. It is run so well, and with a great sense of what is truly interesting in an increasingly boring mainstream media world.

My first visit to Phoenixville, not to mention the Colonial Theater, and they were both impressive. The Colonial Theater has a prime location in the heart of the vibrant main street through downtown Phoenixville, Bridge Street, making it an easy night out option. Park in the municipal pay by phone lot and walk to dinner before your show/concert/movie, then head to a lively bar after if you're still up for some fun. The theater has a lovely lobby with a concession stand offering the basics like candy and popcorn, plus beer 🍺 and wine🍷 for the over 21 crowd. There's a movie theater that plays the old classics and new releases that appear to trend toward the highbrow. Rustin was playing while we were there and we popped in and sat in the back before our show. It was a small theater with traditional movie theater seats, not the "lay down like you're in your living room" seats most theaters now have. The screen was small, as well. We saw 10,000 Maniacs in the main space, a semi-restored theater that was beautiful and intimate, even from our seats in the balcony. I didn't feel like rhe sound was so great, but it was a wonderful venue to see a show. The usher was also very friendly and pointed out "The Blob" plaque on the back wall of the balcony seating area to many people. Apparently, the 1957 movie 🎬 was filmed partially in Phoenixville and the theater takes full advantage of the notoriety, even iffering a $20 Blobcorn bucket of popcorn, with $4 refills. You should definitely add taking in a show here to your must-do list.

Very nice theater with a pretty good line up of shows. I visited to see Nick Lowe with the Los Straightjackets. It was a wonderful show. The seats were comfortable and staggered so you can see over the row in front of you. Good clean restrooms. The only down side is it's not the most glamorous inside. Definitely needs some love but of course that comes at a cost. I'll definitely keep my eye on their shows to support in the future.
