My visit to the First Parish in Portland was nothing short of magical, thanks in large part to an unbelievable string quartet performance that I had the pleasure of attending. The music, a harmonious blend of classical beauty and modern grace, resonated beautifully within the historic walls of the First Parish, creating an atmosphere that was both intimate and expansive. What truly set this experience apart, however, was the breathtaking candle setup that illuminated the venue. The flickering lights cast a warm glow over the performers and audience alike, creating an ethereal ambiance that felt as if we had stepped into another world. This thoughtful arrangement of candles not only enhanced the beauty of the music but also the architectural elegance of the First Parish itself. Attending a performance in such a captivating setting was an unforgettable experience. The combination of stunning music and the mesmerizing candlelight ambiance made for an evening that was as visually spectacular as it was audibly delightful. I highly recommend visiting the First Parish in Portland for those looking to enjoy exquisite musical performances in an enchanting setting.

Loved this church for years...I've heard there is a new ministry. Honestly I haven't been an active member since COVID..but before all that it was the best place on earth I feel. People are friendly and welcoming to everyone. Lots of classes and activities to get you involved in the community. The church has reopened and happy to say there are more people joining service every week. Great for families of all faiths as well, they have a terrific children's place! Please come, be part of our community. If you are a visitor, u are welcome by all. The garden and architecture are wonderful to check out as well ❤️🩹

A couple weekends ago, my fience and I attended the addiction recovery #Blackballoon event for those who died from an overdose just this year alone, 716 people died from an overdose. It's great the church is open for these events to educate the disease of addiction! Happy to be there to those grieving of a lost family member, friend, etc. We are all the same! #alllivesmatter #overdoseawareness #youarenotalone

The music was lovely but we couldn't see the performers from where we were seated. I wish they could have been on a raised platform. That would have made all the difference!
