Merrill Auditorium Concerts 2024-2025

The Harry Potter performance was amazing! The ushers could use a little bit of help though. There were 4 people sitting in our seats because the usher insisted they were in the correct seats. Turns out they were in the wrong seats and the usher just didn’t have a clue. She also took my phone to look at the seats and then proceeded to walk around with my phone trying to find our seats and I had to ask for it back. I also thought the water prices were ridiculous. I thought I would at least get a full sized bottle to last me until intermission but it was the tiniest bottle ever for 2 dollars. What a great venue though with some really great shows to offer. Parking across the street isn’t too bad either.

My daughter and I seen Matt Rife. We sat in the Orchestra Section 3 2nd row. We were so close I could see every detail of the comics face! Such a good time! All of the employees were professional.

We recently attended TWO prestigious events at the Merrill after a somewhat long absence.  We have no intention of attending anything there in the future.  The behavior of the audience was unbelievable and showed a total disrespect for other attendees as well as performers.   Your usher staff also demonstrated a total lack of etiquette seating late arrivals during active musical numbers, some of which had periods of silence while shining their ridiculous flashlights everywhere.  They were also LOUD when seating these people.  Mostly elderly, perhaps hearing issues?? Constant flash cameras were a complete distraction.  Beer cans being opened during performance,  paper wrappers and litter were also on display.  Permitting snacks and beverages in a performance venue is a huge faux pas.  You need to step it up Merrill.  It's no wonder you are not able to attract any bigger names for performance, or sell out crowds.

Drama before the show: A volunteer usher wouldn't give a program to both me and my husband. "We're short of programs," she said. She then handed me a torn and creased one. I explained we each wanted one as a souvenir, and ones that weren't damaged. A head usher told her she shouldn't argue and that we each paid for a ticket so she should give us our programs, which we did receive. I then again asked for ones that weren't damaged and pointed to some in the middle of her pile which she begrudgingly handed over. Then almost twenty minutes into the show latecomers were seated by ushers with their very bright LED flashlights and of course making multiple people get up from their seats which detracted from the show for us. NOT OK. Otherwise fine and a nice venue. The show, Jesus Christmas Superstar 50th Anniversary Broadway Tour was AMAZING.

Our seats were in the Balcony, Section 4 Row A seats 17 and 18. The view was exceptional except for a lack of view of the left side of the stage. So we missed everything that was over there. Next time I would buy tickets closer to the middle to prevent blind spots.
