Hawthorne Theatre Concerts 2026

I must admit, I'm not the most into shows due to the way I am neurodivergent and get terribly overstimulated by crowds and certain things that happen during concerts such as the loud vibrations that come from the ground. (Interestingly enough, my favorite type of music is rather chaotic metal.) However, I can still see that this is a very respectable venue that offers a lot despite being quite small. Plus, compared to a lot of other Portland venues, they offer some of the best artists here in my opinion, along with a good variety of those that are better known and more underground. I watched Intervals and Hail the Sun and it was a good show, acoustics sounded nice and I got a nice view of the stage from some of the limited seating. Also, they have a pretty cool loft area. Staff seems friendly and passionate, and the vibes of the place just work well. The lady at the bar was especially sweet during this show. I'll be coming back here for more shows.

Waited outside in a 6-degree wind chill for 20 minutes after doors were supposed to open. Felt like their heat was broken or not turned on at all. Felt better after a couple of beers. 2 drinks were $16. Staff was friendly and professional. I always enjoy sitting in the loft. Days N' Daze show was weird. Whitney agrily walked off stage after Jesse and Veronica started playing a non-acoustic set of Days N' Daze songs with a drummer. Apparently, the other band members were stranded due to inclement weather or something. "The show must go on," Jesse certainly tried. I hope Whitney gets the help she needs.

In general, everything went well and was quite normal, but two things that I did not like were that I was not allowed to take my GoPro camera. Still, everyone had a phone with a camera. What is the reason? Not clear. And there was not enough fresh air during the concert.

Great venue to see live music. The vibe is great. Acoustics are good. There’s a small amount of seating in a balcony area. The drink selection is good, including CBD drinks. Restrooms are limited and not the best.

Played there on tour. (Flotsam and Jetsam)Excellent staff with strong skillsets. No issues, no hassles. Awesome venue
