Providence Park Concerts

Went to a Timbers game with some of the boys and had a great time at Providence Park. Unfortunately, we lost, but it was a good time none the less. Good beer and good, but expensive, food. We shared a couple of chicken nachos that really hit the spot. They were almost worth the $17 price tag. Getting into the park can be a little challenging due to the extensive security checkpoints, but I definitely understand why it's needed in this day and age.

One of the most unique stadiums in the USA, the park is situated right in a tight knit urban area just steps outside of downtown. Think twice about driving to the game, instead the MAX stops across the street making arrival much easier. Additionally when you buy a ticket for the game, that purchase also includes a free Trimet pass for the day! The park hosts mostly games, but also concerts and other special events. Huge variety of seats and viewing areas some if which have air conditioning and food catered.

Saw the Thorns play here, which was awesome all by itself. But Providence Park also deserves some credit .... It's right smack in the middle of the city and every seat feels like a good seat. That said, I always sit in the Rivetors/Timber's Army GA Supporter seats behind our goal. This section is always lively, changing our team to victory while booing the competition. Soccer at its best!

We are Timbers and Thorns ticket holders so we are at the stadium quite often during the season and have attended private company parties there on the off season. Staff is always friendly and helpful, same with the vendors staff. Prices sometimes seem high for what you get, then you compare it to the Moda center, and things seem quite affordable.

Very nice park! Liked that most seats were covered in some capacity. A lot of food options in the main concourse. Only feedback is on the club level there should be a vegan/vegetarian option for those who don’t eat meat based hot dogs.
