Merrimon-Wynne House Concerts 2024

We cannot say enough about just how thrilled we were to host our daughter's November wedding at the stunning Merrimon-Wynne House! From our first informational tour with Kaila, to attending so many of their lovely wedding open houses, to working with our day-of coordinator Lindsay at the wedding 15 months later, everything was absolutely wonderful! The venue itself is impeccably maintained and so beautiful at every turn... the upstairs rooms for getting ready, the gorgeous downstairs rooms for our cocktail reception, the beautiful carriage house for dinner and dancing, and the stunning landscaping! Kaila was terrific to work with in our planning stages - she's an incredibly prompt and responsive communicator! And Lindsay was an absolute delight to work with... friendly, responsive, efficient, calm and completely unflappable on wedding day! :) We HIGHLY recommend The Merrimon-Wynne House for whatever event you might be planning!

As a bride who works in the wedding industry I cannot recommend the MW team enough! We worked with Sasha for Event Management/In-House Coordination and Lindsay was our day of Venue Coordinator. I truly cannot express how much I recommend this team from the execution to professionalism to actually getting to know myself and husband and connecting with us on a deeper level. Our day was greater than we could have imagined and executed flawlessly. Also every time we needed something or even turned around we always had a staff member there with open arms ready to help, grab us water (it was a very hot July day) or do anything we needed!! All in all this is your sign to book the Merrimon-Wynne House for your wedding or event and to use their In-House Planning and I promise you wont regret it!

Wonderful night of music! A string quartet performed holiday music & pieces from the Nutcracker and they were awesome! The venue was beautiful, the seating was intimate with the candles everywhere, I could just shut my eyes and be off in my imagination listening...then open them to the sight of the violinist tearing it up on her violin! A great experience, especially for people who are just dipping into that type of music, a show just about an hour or so. Can't wait to find another one to enjoy!

Using this historical location for the candlelight concert was a perfect choice! The house and grounds are absolutely gorgeous. I hope to attend future events put on at this property in the future

The Merrimon-Wynne has been my dream venue since I moved to Raleigh in 2016. I’ve followed along on Instagram and dreamed about what my wedding could look like there. When my (now) husband and I got engaged and started our venue search there were only a few things we both really wanted. 1) Separate spaces for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception; 2) separate, dedicated spaces for the bride and groom to get ready; 3) a beautiful backdrop for the most special day of our lives. The Merrimon-Wynne delivered on all 3 and more and was an absolute no-brainer when it came to making the final decision. Our planning and coordinating team, Sasha and Lucy, were above and beyond amazing! The organizational tools that Sasha provided were so helpful and working with her was amazing! I am a bit of a control freak but handing over control to Sasha, Lucy and their team was incredibly easy since I knew they had all of our wants and needs covered! I didn’t have to worry about a single thing day of. The venue itself is gorgeous. The pictures I had seen were amazing, but they don’t even do it justice. They have thought of literally everything and designed everything with care. The grooms suite was the most thoughtful we had seen throughout our venue tour and my husband and his groomsmen really enjoyed getting to spend time together playing poker and foosball. The bridal suite is spacious, gorgeous, and the perfect place to get ready. The options for our ceremony space were all beautiful, we ended up using the lawn and placing the arbor under the large trees. It was the most beautiful backdrop to a perfect ceremony. The cocktail hour inside the house was beautifully setup and having 2 bars was amazing for our guest count! We opted to also have some yard games and lounge furniture in the lawn during cocktail hour and our reception and it was perfect for the beautiful and warm late October weather! The Carriage House is beautiful and the setup that Sasha and the team did was beyond my wildest dreams, everything was PERFECT! We had the most special day and Merrimon-Wynne was the perfect setting. We are forever grateful to Sasha, Lucy, and the rest of the team and can’t wait to celebrate more special occasions with The Merrimon-Wynne!
