Went on a Monday for crab legs that were outstanding. The main visit was for the crab legs, which were always stocked and good. The rest of the buffet was ok. The ladies at the buffet were very nice and pleasant. The older gentleman was not. He seemed more irritated that people were there bothering him. It's nice they have the smoking section separate from the rest of the casino. The place was clean too.

Had a great time, we stayed Monday night paid an extra 25 bucks to sleep in and reax at the pool are till 1. Rooms are nice good size, the TV selection is very limited no guide that I could find have to flip through channels so I guess it's good there's not many. We had the pool area all to ourselves the entire time, never saw anyone else it's a blast. Slide is big enough to get your heart pumping, beautiful hot tub, steam room downside is, how can they not have access to drinking water with hot tub and steam room, I can't imagine how they could miss this really need a filtered water station or something. I did the prime rib buffet 12 bucks it's a bargain. The prime rib is tender and it was decent, not really sure how it's cooked bit different but overall nice comfort food selection. King crab the next night, crab was cooked nicely sweet came right out of the shell, really no other seafood but a bit of white fish, and some shrimp in butter but worth it if you like King crab. Beautiful sports bar lots of tvs pool tables well maintained. 4 dollar drafts and mystery shots 2 for 5 bucks lol. Really cool place would be great for live music. Casino area is clean well maintained I won a few bucks, overall just a really nice stay.

Stayed here for a hockey tournament for the kids. Staff were very tolerant of the shenanngians that usually come with kids at a tournament. Rooms were basic, but fine. Casino was pretty decent, food was meh, but cheap. Pool area was large and well kept. They allow the kids to stay in the pool after it was officially closed to celebrate a big win, which was incredibly nice of them. If you're a team that has a tournament in the Devil's Lake area, you can't go wrong here. Its a bit of a hike to the rinks but an easy drive. I'd imagine it would be nice in the summer time for sure.

After trying to book a reasonable room rate in devils lake I called The Spirit Lake Casino & resort. Rate was better and newer hotel. The front desk was friendly and happy. Got me a room on 4 floor. Roomy and very clean. Bed was a king and very comfortable. Went downstairs to the View restaurant. Fine dinning at its best. They were closing soon and wanted something quick and not too filling. Ordered there bacon cheeseburger with baked potato. Waitress was helpful and very friendly. Food came out fast. They were celebrating there 16 anniversary and fireworks on June 1. Wish I could have been there. Beautiful view of lake and lots of parking. Even a Canadian flag.
