Johnny's Steaks & Bar-Be-Que Concerts

Went by here on a whim and based on Google reviews. Sooooo glad we did. We ordered the chicken fried steak and bacon wrapped jalapenos for appetizers. The jalapenos were perfect, crispy bacon, cooked jalapenos, cream cheese and brisket inside... Wow, just wow... My wife and i split the full order of chicken fried steak and it was perfect for two. She got a loaded baked potato as a side and I got loaded mashed potatoes. I'm being honest, this was the best chicken fried steak I've ever eaten. Tender, good taste, thick gravy, ZERO tendons found in the meat, just perfect. My loaded mashed potatoes were great as well. The only ding if there has to be one was the my wife says her baked potato was not cooked enough and kind of tough. Everything else was awesome. I travel all over Texas and the States for work and try new restaurants all the time. I have about 8 state wide in Texas that I consider a Texas-Gem. Based on tonight, this could easily go on that list. I've got to go twice more and try some other items to confirm before I do a full write up and or video but man, this place is great so far. The atmosphere is good, the wait staff was nice, prices good, and the food thus far, off the charts good. I can't recommend this place enough.... It's that good!

First time at Johnny’s and was absolutely impressed with the hospitality and decor. We had a great time… Food and drinks were amazing!!!we will be back!

My wife and I ordered the 32oz steak. It was good, but slightly over cooked. The flavor was still good. Everything else was great. Friendly staff. The place was packed, and probably is that way most of the time. Is definitely easy here again.

We went for the evening backyard event to see Shenandoah. Our party had sitting seats and standing seats. We were able to go back and forth with each other. We all had a wonderfull evening. Will definitely be going back more often.

I really love this place! Food was excellent, beer cold and atmosphere cute. Service was spot on as well! Highly recommend!
