1695 Polk St, San Francisco, CA 94109, USA
Great off-beat dive that features many well and not so well named bands. Bar features a good selection of cocktails and beers, only feet from a rocking out band. Bathrooms are hard to get to, and bar can often be crowded, but its to be expected at a place like this.

It seems like it would be a great place on a normal night but definitely not recommended for any band that can pull in more than thirty people. Negatives: Crowded, lackluster sound, and hot. Positives: Cocktails

ou can get a great view from almost any location” inside this “high-energy rock spot” in Polk Gulch where “hipsters” catch both “upcoming” and established bands; “don’t expect a wine list or a mixologist” shaking “high-end cocktails” – “PBR and shots are popular here” – but the drinks are “strong” and “reasonably priced”, service is “quick” and the crimson-hued digs (with additional lounge seating upstairs) are “comfortable” for “kicking back with friends.”

This divey bar is a great spot to see new or established bands. It can get crowded, but the place is intimate enough that you'll be able to see and hear everything.

Cool spot on Polk st that has a little stage and a balcony for a great view of the show. I've only been here once but need to come back.
