Heading to SFJazz is always a highlight of my week! This vibrant venue never disappoints, with its schedule brimming with diverse jazz acts from around the globe. Whether you’re a seasoned jazz enthusiast or new to the scene, SFJazz offers an intimate atmosphere that truly celebrates the spirit of jazz. The presentations have this unique informal touch that makes each performance feel special and inclusive, creating a welcoming environment where you’re surrounded by fellow jazz lovers. One of my favorite features is the bar that remains open during performances, allowing you to enjoy your favorite drink without missing a beat. Plus, the venue is thoughtfully designed with easy access to elevators for those seated at the balcony, ensuring everyone has a comfortable and hassle-free experience. The only hiccup might be parking, which can be a bit of a challenge in the area. I always recommend arriving at least 40 minutes before the show to snag street parking. Personally, I love making an evening out of it by arriving an hour and a half early and dining at one of the many delightful restaurants within walking distance of SFJazz. It’s the perfect way to start an unforgettable night of music and camaraderie. If you’re a fan of jazz, or just looking to explore something new, SFJazz is a must-visit spot in the city.

John Scofield was superb today; The most spacious auditorium for jazz in SF that feels unusually intimate : the program design, the band line up are superb, especially if you are new to a jazz ; acoustic quality from all angles makes it possible to hear the music swing ; clear views of bands from any seat; I am volunteer now ; staff is warm and helpful.

Title: SFJAZZ: San Francisco's Symphony of Sensations Review: SFJAZZ on 201 Franklin St is more than just a venue; it's a pulsating heart of art and culture right in the vibrant core of San Francisco. For anyone with even the slightest inclination towards live performances, this place isn't just a recommendation; it's practically a rite of passage! Diverse genres reverberate within its walls, each performance a testimony to the passion and talent that the world of music has to offer. And while the name might hint at a particular musical style, let me assure you, SFJAZZ's offerings span a vast spectrum of sonic delights. Having been a frequent visitor, I can vouch for the impeccable acoustics and thoughtfully designed seating. There's no such thing as a 'bad seat' here. Personally, I gravitate towards seats that offer a more encompassing audio experience, letting the music wash over you in waves of melodic euphoria. Location-wise, while parking is available in the vicinity, a quick online search beforehand can save you some time. And speaking of time, factor in a little extra if you're considering dining nearby. With so many delectable restaurants in the area, it's no surprise they get packed as performance hour nears. But what truly sets SFJAZZ apart is its spirit. Beyond the artists on stage, it's a collective effort of countless passionate individuals dedicated to curating experiences that unite, inspire, and resonate. By supporting SFJAZZ, you're not just attending a show; you're championing an institution that stands for creativity, unity, and the timeless power of music. So, whether you're a jazz enthusiast or someone looking for an unforgettable night out, SFJAZZ promises a symphony of sensations you won't soon forget. 🎶🎷🌟🌃🎤

An intimate venue, where no seat is too far away, and the acoustics are excellent. We watched Pink Martini today. The 12 member band was cozy on stage, and we were comfortable I was our seats. The staff is amazing, kind and helpful. The auditorium has a bar on the second floor. Having been to other venues in San Francisco, we recommend the Miners Auditorium.
