The Montgomery Theater is a 468-capacity performing arts theater in downtown San Jose, CA, originally built in 1936 and known for its classic charm and elegant atmosphere. This historic venue offers an intimate experience for a diverse lineup of live music, theater productions, dance, and film screenings, combining its heritage with modern upgrades for versatile events.
Talent, set design, costuming was fantastic. Unfortunately, as always the singing was overwhelmed by the orchestra. Shame too because School of Rock is so good on so many levels.

This theater is a good size and layout allows for good views from most every seat.

Great acoustics, great shows. It had a old vibe to it. Well maintained theatre. No outside food and drinks. They have a small bar at the front. But I don't like anything they have. It's sad that they don't allow us to get anything and they too don't have a good selection menu. But otherwise it's a good place. Staff is friendly, restrooms are very clean. The seating had gallery so visibility is good.

Love to go to the children's plays. They are so talented and do a great job. The theater is very accommodating for people with walkers.
