Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall Concerts 2024-2025

We saw Hamilton and it was even better than what we expected. The cast was phenomenal. The sound incredible. Since the seats in the auditorium are on an incline, the view is basically unobstructed no matter where you sit. This was my first live performance of Hamilton and I wish I could watch it again. Amd again.

Saw an inspiring show with the Sarasota Orchestra. The sound was fantastic, even in the seats far from the stage. The Performing Arts Center is beautiful inside and out. We parked the car and it was not too far of a walk. They do offer valet parking for $10. Which is a good option, especially if you are running late.

Went here for the first time to see Straight No Chaser on November 17, 2023. The group is spectacular! A Capella music is so cool. Their harmonies are beyond compare. The first part of the show was a mix of non-holiday music. The voices, especially the bass and percussionist were excellent. All of their songs were just amazing. The second half was holiday music, each better than the one before. This is without a doubt the holiday show to see. The venue however has a major flaw. All seats are accessed via the outermost aisles, left and right sides. If you have a seat towards the center, you need to walk by, climb over, everyone who is already sitting in their seats in your row. Should you have to use the restroom, or need to leave your seat at any point during your visit after getting to your seat, you need to climb over, or pass by every person between your seat and the end of your row. In our opinion, this is a major flaw in order to be able to get more seating in the venue. Other than that, $10 beers and $24 twelve ounce wines are available for your enjoyment. The sound in this venue is exceptional. We will go back for shows as there is no bad seat in the house.

Always clean and comfortable. I paid early and a bit extra to get close to the performers. Much more affordable compared to an arena show. Sarasota’s crowd is a bit older, but high energy and loud. 5 stars would require a center aisle and better acoustics. No issues for a piano, but a rock band may sound muddled.

Saw the share show with my friend. We had a good time. I was recovering from foot surgery and there was a lot of walking to enter the side of the building required that our tickets were for. Parking is extremely difficult. And leaving the facility after a show was Horrific. The show itself was good. The facility was clean. Some of the workers were outgoing and friendly, while others were not so welcoming.
