Somerset Amphitheater Concerts 2024

I think the Somerset Amphitheater is a pretty solid outdoor concert venue. I really, really miss the Somerset Music Fest that they used to host here back in like 2013-2014. I went to the outlaw music festival last summer and it was a good experience. Getting in and out of the parking lot before and after shows can be an absolute nightmare. They get some pretty great musical acts to come here.

Went for the Lumineers concert. When buying tickets, the site mentioned that we could bring our lawn chairs. When we got there, there were signs all over the place that said outside chairs weren't allowed and that we had to rent from them if we wanted lawn chairs. People who were aware of this brought blankets to spread on the lawn and sit.

Great show with The Lumineers and James Bay. No problems, sounds was great, views and lighting were good. Plenty of food and drink vendors. I cannot comment on parking as we chose another place for that.

3 stars because it's a great venue once you get in, but inside it's impossible to get food, Portapotties are a long wait, and good luck getting in... Reaching the entrance is no biggie, but actually parking? Not easy. And incredibly time-consuming. Needs a good, organized parking staff with a clear plan. This venue is too big for parking to function well as a free-for-all! Live Nation has money. These are solvable problems. Hopefully they read this. The venue: it's not dramatic and photogenic like Alpine Valley, and the grading is downright weird. But with a lawn ticket you can easily find a great spot. Also, the sound from the PA is incredibly good, possibly the best I've heard at a big outdoor venue. Really. (I was at the Outlaw Fest) Live Nation, you bought out this venue. Now it's time to open your abundant coffers again ... To solve the problems with food lines, parking, and toilet facilities! Go go go!

The audio and the venue itself is great. Plan on 2 hours to drive in AND drive out. As long as you are prepared mentally for the long wait in your car, than it isn’t too bad. Lines for the drinks and food where very reasonable the night we went.
