Forest Park Reviews

The largest city park in the country with 1,300 acres. There is so much to do here from hiking to museums, it has pretty much everything (except volleyball). At the tennis pavilion, you can rent courts for $10/hour. Entry to the Jewel box is $2. Ice skating in the winter at the outdoor rink for $10. The Zoo & the museums are free though! Tons of trails and lots of parking alongside the roads and also quite a few lots. The park is well maintained and there are quite a few bathrooms throughout.

We live an hour away and have made the trip to the zoo many times but haven't spent any time in Forest Park. Today we took advantage a beautiful early spring day to walk around and spent time discovering the Nature Playscape with my daughter and grandsons. They love to climb and there are rock walls and tree sculptures everywhere. The park is loaded with daffodils of all different varieties blooming right now. Plenty of trails paved and natural mulch.
