Emerald Queen Casino Reviews

I like this casino and love that they have excellent entertainment at decent prices. I’ve been here and won, and I’ve also lost. The drinks are good, reasonably priced and everyone is helpful. I love that there’s always parking in the lot I usually park in right by the elevator. I don’t like that they had valet parking for the Carly pierce concert I went to but not for the Dru Hill concert. Lastly, the machines are always dirty, sticky and malfunctioning. They run super slow and get stuck in the middle of spinning. There is always cigarette ashes and cups on the machine, although I have seen them trying harder to pick them up lately. But I do think they need to evaluate the slot machines and check to make sure they’re all running properly and the buttons work. Otherwise, the weekend is usually fun, full of people, and other than a couple of loud gamblers, free of drama. I’ve never stayed at the hotel, as the prices are absolutely ridiculous. I also love that they have plenty of food and drink options and the casino is open 24 hours a day.

This casino is huge and has lots of games to choose from whether table cards dice or slots! I wouldn't go with the hopes of hitting big, because the odds are not in the peoples favor and you'll probably be disappointed, BUT, their is always a chance to hit big. So if your not counting on it, and you don't, it's like eh oh well. But if your not counting on it and you do, it's all that much more exciting! Just know you're limited, and have fun!

Pool is kiddie sized. Hot tub is fine. No sauna. 3 restaurants at 5pm on Saturday with a minimum 45 minute wait. Room was clean and good sized. Price for a room seems high for the casino itself.

This review will focus on your experience attending a concert here, and or going for light gaming rather than the hotel. There are two large covered parking garages directly connected to the casino. There's no charge for parking. However, they have no system to display how many spots, if any are left. We drove around both garages for about 40 minutes trying to find a free spot. Finally, an attendant recommended that we drive a few blocks away and park on city side streets. I didn't mind the walk but it was raining and also we were a bit worried about whether the car would be secure. There were hundreds of other cars slowly driving around in circles trying to find a spot prior to a concert. So I would recommend going very very early for any kind of event because the parking is obviously in severe shortage. Once inside, you will go through a metal detector, have your ID saved on the computer, right at the entrance, airport style. As unexpected as that was, what was a bit offensive was that in order to get into the event hall, we had to go through a second layer of even more scrutinous security. We were patted down prison style, asked to turn around, open bags, and empty our pockets, despite the fact that we already went through the metal detector at the entrance. And if you are seated in the event center and go to the bathroom. You have to go through the whole thing again. This seems a bit unnecessary and also gave off a low-class vibe. Speaking of which, most of the employees seem like they were pretty grumpy and didn't want to be there. Also, if you want to know what it was like to live in 1957, you're about to find out because people will be smoking everywhere. If you have asthma or allergies, there doesn't seem to be any clear air space for you to hang out in. The facility itself seems nice and clean, other than of course the air. In summary, the parking situation is a disaster, you will breathe, vape and smoke the whole time, and you'll be treated like you're about to enter Rikers Island, at least once and potentially several times. We left thinking this was severely mismanaged and therefore it's unlikely to get a return visit.

Easy to get into the parking area, well laid out and marked. Usually plenty of spots available. Make sure you have a valid piece of ID available, as they'll be checking it shortly after you enter. Elevators and escalators readily available. Plenty of games available and ranged from .15 on up to $5.00, depending on their age and complexity. Restrooms are kept clean, but I think they could have a could more signs strategically placed to direct you. There are refreshments available (coffee, water, sodas), but I don't know if anybody bothers to test for proper operation. I got a drink of Sprite and couldn't tell if it was missing something or if the machine was malfunctioning. You'll occasionally have a person offering to get refreshments for you, if your machine is hot (sometimes they are). I do wish someone would check the volume on the games though, as they can be at the obnoxious level (maybe to draw attention). Win or lose, it's a fun place to go when you need to get away.
