Went for Stranger Sings Musical Parody for my humanities assignment. Was a very nice experience. We were 10min late to the performance 🎭, the staff upgraded our seats 💺 for being late. Very friendly and assisting staff. Don’t forget to use your student ID when buying tickets to get 50% off!!

Decided to go the parody musical Stranger Sings at the Jaeb Theater located at the Straz Center. It's one of the smaller, more intimate theater venues there. For this performance it just made it better. The show was hilarious and awesome. The cast was spot on and they all performed flawlessly, with 80s pop culture references, songs, and dance, they hit their mark. Definitely worth attending if you get the chance or are a fan of the series. The writing was so comical that it had the audience laughing in no time. The cast used the smaller theater to maximize the show by interacting with audience members and by going through rows or tables to keep you on your toes. Great performance til the end, loved it. There's also food and drinks available at the bar at the front. You can order inside the theater with a QR code scan, but our table didn't work. No problem since it's so close by and we weren't there to eat/drink. Everyone had a great time.

Been here too many times to count and will be back for more. We are so lucky to have such an amazing performing arts center in Tampa Bay. Every show I have seen here has been incredible. Other things I know people like to know in advance: Straz has wheelchair seating (must be purchased in advance), late arrival seating for most shows, beverages and snacks including alcohol, an on-site restaurant that takes reservations, bathrooms on every floor, and ASL interpreters for those that need them. Valet parking is available but limited, and there is a paid parking garage across the street. Enjoy your show! :)
We are annual donors and come to many shows and usually enjoy every one. Today we bright our two nieces, ages 7 and 11, to their first ever shows as we came to see Peter Pan and did not have a good experience at all. The visit started off a little frustrating when as we were pulling up to the valet lane a worker was putting a sign out saying it was full. We have never had this happen and usually can always valet park, and today we thought it would’ve been an extra cool thing for the girls to experience. Instead, we had to park on level 4 of the garage and have a nerve wracking walk to the theater due to crazy drivers and lots of traffic. It was our first time sitting in Mezzenine seats…we sat in the closest ones to the stage. My wife and I couldn’t see most of the stage because the towering speakers and lights were in the way, and our nieces could see a bit more than us but still had their views obstructed. For the price we paid, these seats shouldn’t even be an option for sale. I don’t understand how you can be charging more than what seats in the front rows by the stage cost. I know you state in your site these seats are obstructed views, but it still isn’t right to offer there seats at all…can barely see most of the play. We feel you are just trying to squeeze as many seats as you can here to make more money, but what a terrible experience we had. Again, we come to at least 2-3 shows a year, sometimes more, and usually have a great experience. Today was awful and ruined a great family day we had planned. This certainly leaves a sour taste in my mouth about the Straz and not sure if we’ll be back due to this terrible experience. Again, how can you be even offering these seats when about half the stage is out of viewing sight? Not sure what else to say…do not ever buy Mezzanine closest to the stage or you’ll be wasting time and money.

Beautiful building and layout. Right on the rivers edge. There are lovely little cafe places and little umbrella seating for eating and drinking. There is a parked rail car eatery to buy food right on the walkway. Large, spacious and feels very safe. Beautiful walking and scenery
