Packard Music Hall Reviews

Very nice smaller venue. A cool place to watch some live music. Not the best seats in the pit area. They are like the removable ones. And hard to find your seat number. But overall a pretty nice venue. I have been here 3 times for concerts. The last 2 we were standing. This one only had seats.

Very bare Spartan interior. Comfortable seats. Good acoustics. Sightlines good. Bathrooms clean. Parking is a mess. Not enough spaces. Unlimited lot makes getting around post-show hard. No cops directing traffic. Nice convenient size. Well marked. Easy to find seats. I'll go back but I'll pay more attention to parking.

I enjoy this venue in just about every way that matters. Parking is private and very close to the venue, and getting out is typically very easy. The inside might be dated but doesn't bother me at all. Sound has been great for concerts, and the crowds always bring it. I try to get tickets for this venue over other shows in the region.

Tix sales are easy to get but after they get your money the office is not your friend. The place is very uncomfortable, lower seats are old & squeezed together. Its time to get new people in the offices, they dont care about anything except to get your money. Check out Robin's theater if you want a nice time, they are clean & well managed.

A tremendous "BLUES" concert, most especially with TOMMY CASTRO and his PAINKILLERS. The "other" performers, well were not really "our cup of tea"...but nonetheless outstanding with their interpretation of what "BLUES" is. The PACKARD MUSIC HALL, well, in need of some TLC, maybe "spruce up" the shaggy / overgrown bushes...and take some pride AND RESPONSIBILITY of and how the venue is perceived....maybe a little less about the $$$ profits $$$ and more about appeal. There are / were three (3) employees who went over and above in doing their "jobs". CHERYL (ticket window) - JAMES (security supervisor) - AND REBECCA (security director). This CHERYL AND JAMES truly were impressive in their professionalisms, ability to "connect", interact, AND make us feel APPRECIATED! They indeed DO deserve some type of recognition for leaving us with positive - Positive - POSITIVE thoughts and things to say. The concessions: Well, suffice it to say that we could have enjoyed the venue much more if - If - IF we could have enjoyed a couple of beers each! But we found that at $8.00 for a 16 ounce can of beer...a little $$ pricey $$. $5.00 to $6.00 certainly would have allowed us to enjoy life and music...but oh well: name of the game $$$ -money - money - MONEY - $$$.....certainly NOT the fun / relaxing / enjoyable event it COULD HAVE been. Steve and Barbara BENYO - ELMIRA, NY (300 plus miles)
