Been going to The Meadows since it was only a racetrack in the early 70's. The casino was built in 2009, I believe Hollywood is the 3rd owner. The casino in spacious, clean, half is smoke free. The staff is friendly, the dealers are polite and courteous. During the evenings and weekends, they have about 50 table games open. But if you're a morning gambler, they open only 2 Blackjack tables at 9am. The Best things about visiting Hollywood casino: It's clean, the environment feels very safe, not a long walk from Parking Garage to Casino. Food Court options are pricey, though food is decent. The Worst things: They close their table games at 4am, reopen at 9am. The Slots are VERY tight. Lastly, their Players Rewards aren't much. A new player may lose $1,000 playing Blackjack - if you fortunate, maybe a Pit boss will give you $10 food money on your Card. Enjoy.

Hollywood Casino at The Meadows is about 25 miles outside of Pittsburgh and has a variety of slot machines, table games, and a harness racing track. The casino also has a selection of dining options, a hotel & spa and a full schedule of events and concerts throughout the year. I noticed the reviews were mixed (before my first visit) and can certainly see why, after my second visit. We did notice a large variety of slots (though many were older) and a good number of table games for the size. However, as many mentioned, the decor is dated & boring. With the exception of the Barstool games area, there's not much to give you a sense of fun or joy. The staff I've encountered have been either helpful and friendly or quite the opposite, especially the bar staff. Overall, Hollywood Casino at The Meadows is an average casino. It is not the best casino in Pennsylvania, not the worst either. If you are looking for a place to gamble, see a cover band or just have some fun, it is definitely one of the better suited options in the area.

Very nice casino. The sky walk connection to the Hyatt hotel to the parking garage is nice. A little much to walk through in the parking garage to get to the casino if you are parked in the hotel area side, but it's nice because it's enclosed. The casino floor is huge. We visited on a Wednesday night and it was pretty empty. However on Friday after checkout I stopped over and played some slots and it was filling up pretty quickly around noon time. The staff was very friendly and the host that was on shift on Wednesday was even able to get us a nice compted meal at the Club Elite & Owners Lounge. The meal was great and the alcoholic drinks were strong and a decent price. I checked out the poker room and it was smaller, but layout was nice and there is a cage right there which is always a plus. Definitely a spot we will be stopping at and hopefully also staying at the next time we are in the Pittsburgh area.

Great time at the casino this past weekend. I really enjoy the casino, all the food, the racetrack, and especially the events. I came for the Pittsburgh food truck festival. They did a great job of organizing. I will definitely be back for the next big event !!

Good assortment of machines, not really too busy and help comes somewhat quickly. My main issue with this place is there are no free drinks for active slot players unless you're a part of their membership program and you're level 4 (whatever that means). Every casino from the several states I've been to has offered free drinks to anyone playing at slots.
