Genesee Theatre Concerts 2024-2025

Gorgeous theatre and a great show with Lewis Black. Leaving was a bit cramped due to all the turns and stairs (I was in the LOGER) but that's a pretty minor thing. I also used the valet service and they were great too. Very quick to get my car and leave after the show.

Saw Brit Floyd here for the second time. Such a fantastic show and venue. Ushers and staff do an excellent job helping out guests, place is kept clean, good variety of beverages to choose from, overall just a fantastic place to see a concert!

Intimate, Totally restored to its original look inside. The carpet was cushioned & bathrooms updated, easy to get in and out. The view from the main floor was good. If you're in the first rows you'll have an up and close view. I recommend the first 15 rows. But anything after was nice too. Parking garage directly across the street for easy in/out. Lines for the drinks at the bar are long, the trick is to go to the upper floors for shorter lines. Before the show they have a few restaurants withing walking distance. I ate after the show at a brewery BBQ place next to the garage.

I used to see movies here as a kid in the 60’s. They have done a fantastic job on the renovation some years ago. What impresses me the most is it looks like the renovation was just completed yesterday. Multiple bars inside. They give you lids for your cocktails and let you bring them to your seats. The bath rooms are good size, neat decor and spotless. The staff is very nice and the patrons are considerate of the beautiful venue. I have seen an array of performances here - Alice Cooper, Ron White, Modest Mouse, Zappa plays Zappa, Cheech & Chong, Henry Cho and Here Comes the Mummies.

The Genesee theater is a beautiful old style theater. Seats are comfortable and good view of the stage from any area. There is a parking garage one street away that charged $10. Not much to see in downtown Waukegan so it is easy to get the theater with no traffic
