I loved this large concert venue. The staff was friendly and welcoming and not ridiculously strict about certain things. The suite rooms for the talent was nice, but the sound definitely could've been better. The photos I have show from both the audience and stage views.

Great venue for reasonably priced family outings. They did a really good job with the renovations. The only item I would caution visitors about is getting seats in Row B of the balcony/upper deck. If you are 5 foot 5 or taller, they are not comfortable, because of the railing.

We went to the Metro New York Reptile Expo, and while my family and I enjoyed the Expo very much, the facilities could use some improvement. I am not expecting the Javits Center, but a few things could have been done to improve our experience; I will, however, start with the positives. It is very conveniently located. It is within walking distance of the MetroNorth station, a station I have gotten to know well because my older son goes to school near here. I also enjoy the walk along the Bronx River Pathway, which is tranquil, even with the industrial aspects nearby, as this is White Plains - a small City north of New York City. The Bee-Line, Westchester County's local bus system, also stops there, and there is ample parking, from what I saw, but I did not drive there. Because you are in downtown White Plains, there are some restaurants not too far away if you are looking for something outside the area. The architecture is also appealing, as the building has a long history. It is built in a neo-classical style similar to other buildings of its time. Here are the not-so-good aspects. Area-wise, it is not particularly large. For the Expo, the event was packed with vendors, and there were no places for people to sit. There are some vending machines and a Nathan's for food, but they only give you a few standing tables to eat. We had to sit on the floor in the hallway that connects the main space with the annex. There, they only had a few chairs, which I assume are for people with limited mobility, so I declined to sit on them. There are plenty of seats in the main area because it is also used as a basketball arena, but the organizers closed that off for visitors. At least, the food is decently priced, especially for a convention center. Finally, the wi-fi is really spotty, which I found suprising for a Convention Center. Maybe I just needed to get the Wi-Fi password to log in, but I was surprised whyI could not just log in the Guest Wi-Fi and get decent wi-fi. Don't tell me that a bunch of herpetology enthusiasts hogged up the bandwidth. In general, I enjoyed myself there, but the space was much to be desired.

We saw a cat show with Steven Meserve. It was wonderful. The concession stands had great food as well.
