Formed from The Prefects in 1979, Nightingales gained cult status under Robert Lloyd, with critical acclaim for their albums and John Peel support. Reuniting in 2004, with members like Andreas Schmid and Fliss Kitson, they've since been productive, touring globally and celebrated in the 2021 documentary *King Rocker* by Stewart Lee.
