Birmingham's Godflesh, pioneers of industrial metal and post-metal, debuted in 1988 with EP “Godflesh” and classic “Streetcleaner” in 1989. Known for blending heavy riffs with hip-hop, dub, and drum'n'bass. Influenced bands like Metallica, Korn. Disbanded in 2001, reunited 2010.

Pallbearer's "Mind Burns Alive" album explores themes of isolation and mental breakdown through introspective lyrics and a reduced musical style, shifting from heavy distortion to a more stripped-back sound. This work delves into the painful realities of the human experience, framed by hope for redemption.
