Crystal Shawanda, from the Wikwemikong reserve in Ontario, is an Indigenous Blues musician. Formerly a country artist with RCA, she later embraced the blues, inspired by her youth. Known for her powerful voice, she's released multiple blues albums with True North Records, performed at the 2013 Obama Inauguration, and is a motivational speaker.
