Formed in the early ’80s in Reno, NV, hardcore punk band 7 Seconds later relocated to Sacramento. Fronted by Kevin Seconds, they released Walk Together, Rock Together on BYO and later albums for Restless, Headhunter, Epic, and Side 1.

Fullerton, California's The Adolescents, formed in 1979, are punk rock pioneers. Their energetic hardcore sound, featuring melodic hooks, influenced skate-punk and countless bands. Known for anthems like "Amoeba" and "Kids of the Black Hole," their self-titled "blue album" was a best-seller. Recent albums include Caesar Salad Days (2023) and Russian Spider Dump (2020).
