LineUp

Boston Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1881, is a leading U.S. symphonic ensemble. Known for 20th-century RCA Victor recordings and for Koussevitsky’s premieres of Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms and Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra, plus Tanglewood.
Igor Stravinsky, the Russian-born titan of 20th-century music, revolutionized classical sound with his bold rhythms and innovative harmonies. His iconic ballets "The Firebird," "Petrushka," and the riot-inducing "The Rite of Spring," created for Diaghilev's Ballets Russes, remain cornerstones of modernism. He also explored neoclassicism and serialism.
Russian-born pianist Kirill Gerstein studied jazz at Berklee after moving to the US at 14, then focused on classical at Manhattan School of Music. Sixth Gilmore Artist Award recipient; ECHO Klassik winner for Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 (1879).
Hungarian Romantic composer Franz Liszt, born in Doborján, redefined piano virtuosity and performance. He pioneered the solo recital and invented the symphonic poem, profoundly influencing music. His iconic works include "Hungarian Rhapsodies," "Liebesträume No. 3," and the "Piano Sonata in B minor," showcasing his dramatic, expressive style. Liszt's innovations shaped the Romantic era.
