Americana and Notodden Blues Festival

Americana is a music genre originating from the American South, blending country, folk, blues, bluegrass, gospel, and rock into a distinctive roots-oriented sound. It emphasizes storytelling, often featuring acoustic and electric instrumentation. The Americana Music Association champions the genre, presenting annual Honors & Awards, and the Grammys include a Best Americana Album category.

One of the largest and most significant blues music festivals in Europe and the largest in Scandinavia, held annually since 1988 in Notodden, Norway, featuring a diverse program of international superstars and local talents.
