Franz Joseph Haydn, born in Rohrau, Austria, was a pivotal Classical composer. Known as the "Father of the Symphony" and "Father of the String Quartet," his prolific output includes 104 symphonies and 68 string quartets. His innovative style, marked by wit and humor, shaped instrumental music. Notable works include the "London" symphonies and oratorios like "The Creation." He influenced Mozart and taught Beethoven.
Karina Canellakis is an in-demand conductor known for emotionally charged performances, technical command, and interpretive depth. She is Chief Conductor of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Principal Guest Conductor of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and RSB.
