Boston's Bell Biv Devoe, a New Edition spin-off, pioneered New Jack Swing, blending R&B, hip-hop, and funk. Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe are famed for multi-platinum hits like "Poison" and "Do Me!". Their influential sound earned them a Soul Train Award. Later recordings include "Three Stripes" and the single "Act Like You Know".
