Bernhoft with Foynhagen and Jarle Bernhoft

Norwegian multi-instrumentalist Jarle Bernhoft, born in Nittedal, is known for his unique retro-soul style. He rose to fame with his one-man-band performances using looping pedals. Bernhoft's hits include "Solidarity Breaks" and the chart-topping "Ceramik City Chronicles." He's collaborated with Jill Scott and earned a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album for "Islander." Originally a rock frontman with Spin and Span, he later embraced soul, finding success both in Norway and internationally.

Norwegian artist Bernhoft, formerly of Span, acclaimed for his live looping techniques and rock-solid discography, is known for his soulful sound and is the first non-American nominated for Best R&B Album Grammy.
