British artist Bess Atwell moved to Canada, sparking a shift toward honest music. She released the Aaron Dessner-produced Light Sleeper and teamed up with producer Chris Coady for the moody, Eighties-leaning pop single The Act, written while living in Quebec.

Housewife

Toronto’s Housewife (Brighid Fry) makes indie, exploratory music blending personal growth and identity. Formerly of award-winning duo Moscow Apartment, she tours widely and gains global radio support.
