Scottish rock band Big Country, led by England-born Stuart Adamson, were known for bagpipe-like guitars and Celtic-inspired anthems. Their debut The Crossing went platinum in the UK and spawned the Top 20 hit In a Big Country.

Toyah

Toyah Willcox is a Birmingham-born singer who moved to London and formed the band Toyah with Joel Bogen. The group scored hits including It's a Mystery and I Want to Be Free; Anthem hit No.2 and went Gold. Later solo albums include Minx and Posh Pop.
