California-born Steve Roach is a pioneering ambient and electronic composer known for lush, meditative soundscapes blending tribal, space, and new age styles. Key works include *Structures from Silence* and *Dreamtime Return*. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist inspired by Tangerine Dream, Roach collaborated with Robert Rich, Michael Stearns, and others, influencing generations of ambient and trance artists with his prolific, immersive music.
Interstellar death metallers Blood Incantation hail from Denver, creating cosmic soundscapes with singles like "Obliquity of the Ecliptic." Known for genre-bending, they collaborated with Chris McNaughton and Arthur Rizk, featuring cover art by Steve R. Dodd.
Cynic, pioneers of "breath-metal," blend metal with jazz and progressive influences, praised for complex melodies and genre-defying albums like *Focus* and *Traced In Air*.
